Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite motivated young surgeons to apply for the available positions on the Young ESSO Steering Committee (Y-ESSO).

There are currently four positions open, each with a 2-year term, renewable once. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of educational, research, and leadership activities for young surgical oncologists across Europe, while collaborating closely with the ESSO Board, the Educational and Training Committee, and Y-ESSO National Representatives.

Steering Committee members are expected to actively participate in Y-ESSO initiatives, attend virtual meetings (at least twice per year) and one in-person meeting during the ESSO Congress, contribute to the scientific programme of the annual ESSO meeting, and represent Y-ESSO in professional and academic activities.

Eligibility requirements:

• Be an ESSO member in good standing
• Be under 40 years old or within 15 years of graduation from medical school, and not currently holding a leadership position
